If you are busy looking at houses for sale by owner you may have one complete day to spend in London, but want to view as much as possible in the time allowed, where do you begin?
Firstly, make sure that you are stopping overnight in or close to Central London.  There are Several reasonably costed small hotels and bed  & breakfast spots in Victoria and Paddington, both areas are very well served by buses and the Underground.
A full English breakfast is a great help to visitors who don't want to loose too much time eating.  If you munch the typical  cereal, eggs, bacon, and beans with toast, you only need to grab a sandwich or something at lunchtime.
If you are departing  London in the late afternoon or evening and wonder what to do with your baggage, don't forget that you can leave it in the left luggage locations at key railway stations such as Victoria and Paddington.
Whilst looking for Private Property Sales, Perhaps the place to begin is Trafalgar Square. There you will see Nelson's Column and can visit the National Gallery north of the Square.
You may like to witness the Changing of the Guards at Horse Guards of Whitehall, just south of Trafalgar Square itself. The ceremony happens daily at 11am sharp.  Then continue down Whitehall to the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.  Should you go into the Abbey to look at all the fabulous historic possessions it contains, you will stay at least an hour there.
You can cross Westminster Bridge and enjoy a ride on the amazing London Eye, 1 of the capital's very popular attractions. Even with tickets, you will probably still join a queue.
You can always take a bus from Parliament Square over to the Tate Gallery, taking lunch in the restaurant and then looking at its collection of art with many avant garde works.
When you depart there, take a right turn from the Tate and walk a few steps to Vauxhall Bridge, where you will catch a bus to Victoria, only a short walk from Buckingham Palace, which is the home of the Queen. The Palace is only open during summer although the Royal Mews, at the rear of the Palace is accessed from Lower Grosvenor Street, and open year round.  Here you will witness the fabulous coaches and carriages as used in State ceremonies.
Time and energy remaining  you will see one of London's lesser known properties,  Spencer House, off St James's Place. It is open on Sundays only. The house used to be the home of the Spencers, that is Princess Diana's family, although has now been sold  and has undertaken extensive work to restore it to its former glory.
